How To Study Smarter, Not Just Harder
Writing serves as an outlet for many people. A lot depends how you use it. There is journaling, poetry writing, short stories, novellas, novels, non-fiction works, articles-I could go on as there are so many types. The biggest ones now are Blog posts and Tweets. What is right for you? That depends on what writing does for you. Is there something you want to tell or teach someone? Is there a story you want to tell? Are there feelings you want to express that you think others can relate to? Do you want to find connections to others? These are all valid reasons for writing. Maybe you are not the writing type, but like reading what others write. That is okay too. Today I am talking about writing for writing’s sake.
Active voice is an important part of a sentence. Better writing skills reflect the use of active voices in a sentence. Active voice helps a sentence to become shorter and also gives it a stronger expression. Shorter sentences add on to the quality of writing and it is more desirable.
This isn’t something you set in stone. If you come up with another idea while you’re writing (that happens to me), write about that. Write whatever it is you feel compelled to write at any time during your writing session (just don’t revert back to journal writing – do that at some other time).
This led me to consider how these students were graduating high school and then admitted to a university. Some may push back and argue that “some people are just not writers.” I may agree that a few people have a natural ability to craft words and organize sentences, but I will hold firm to the belief that writing is learned skill. Every student has the ability to communicate through writing, and the ones we believe aren’t capable will end up being crippled in the “real world.” A student needs to understand that they have the ability to communicate meaning through writing, and they also need to understand that they can also do it well.
In this article, I continue with my idea of talking with people who have been very successful in their careers and finding out what study habit they thought was the biggest help in their student days. Here in Part 2, I speak with an older family friend (Robbie) who studied as a mature age student. What she first told me blew me away.
Good write my paper for cheap habits include many different skills. Some of the skills are; self-discipline, time management, memorization, concentration, organization, and effort. The effect of having a great desire and passion to succeed cannot be under estimated.
Option 1: Write continuously for 8 minutes about whatever comes into your head. Don’t put your pen down until the time is up. If nothing comes to mind just repeat the sentence before.
teen age years can be awkward for many. This is a time where a teen wants to find identity yet wants to stay with the crowd. Acceptance can cause a teen to cave into peer pressure. Teens may end up contributing to or doing something harmful just to gain acceptance from friends and even strangers. Texting can be used to spread harmful information such as untrue gossip about a classmate, pictures, or invitations to a dangerous party or other activity.
This is exactly where I found myself recently and yes, it was extremely frustrating! I got writer’s block – BIG time – and all the normal “tricks” were just not working.
Be Supportive – Teens long to feel supported by you in their choices. They will look to you for honest advice and guidance if you have continually shown love and support in the past. Be supportive of your teen even if you feel you know how to do it better. Give your advice, but then let them choose. This shows love, care and respect. something that all kids and teens need and deserve.
Imbue your teen with etiquette. Teach your teen sons to open doors for the ladies, etc. Each teen is to be respectful not only of the other but of the other’s family. Two mothers looked at each other in utter disbelief, when teen girls on their way to the school prom arrived at the house of one of the teen boys and did not even greet the parents of the boy who were with him waiting for the entire group to arrive! And at no time during the forty minute wait for the limo to arrive was a word said to the parents!
